  1. 1988

    It began in 1988 with a collection of bespoke, hand-crafted wedding dresses. Understated and elegant, Ruth’s designs showed off her trademark sense of style, combining a quintessentially English aesthetic with a contemporary freshness.

  2. 1990

    Roll on a few years and add four children to the mix: multi-tasking and juggling schedules was fast becoming second nature. Ruth started teaching piano in the evening, designing dresses by day and sewing at night.

  3. 2008

    By 2008 those creative juices needed a new outlet. Ruth took on the role of project manager for the multi award-winning interior design firm, Sims-Hilditch. It was the perfect launch pad for Brookman Greene, bringing to the fore her organisational skills, creative eye and attention to detail.

    2012 our first wedding. A glorious celebration of friends, family, love and laughter. A midsummer night’s dream setting to launch a new relationship and a new business.

    Brookman Greene has grown into one of the leading bespoke event planners in the Cotswolds and UK. Most of our team have been with us since the beginning, bringing experience, creative flair and hard graft to every event. Our reputation for designing and co-ordinating naturally elegant, seemingly effortless events is based on our honest, stylish and intuitive approach.

    We have entertained over 9,000 guests, poured 16,000 glasses of champagne and served 95,600 canapes. Sadly, we haven’t had time to make any more wedding dresses.
